Gotland fur sheep
Gotland fur sheep is a Nordic short-tailed sheep that has probably been refined in terms of the quality of meat and skin, but without having gone beyond the original robust qualities and instincts. The most important qualities when looking at animal welfare are that the animals have good mothering qualities and are able to give birth to their lambs without help (light lambs).
In addition, the animals are hardy, robust and trusting and easy to get along with.

The meat is lean and slightly wild, so if you are afraid of 'wool taste', you will be pleasantly surprised.
The fur on the skins is silky and of very high quality.
Organic lamb meat can be bought in easy, ready cuts when animals are slaughtered.

We also have a flock of chickens, musk ducks, a couple of Swedish farm dogs as well as a couple of kestrels and owls to keep marsh pigs away from the vineyard
