Our wines

Here comes the proof that you can make high quality Danish wine. Namely, our different bottles. We mainly make white wines and rosé wines. Both as table wines and sparkling wines ..

Wine style

Our wines are generally dry wines and therefore very suitable for enjoying good food. The wines are with a clear fruit character where the grapes used are allowed to emerge. It gives the most interesting wines.
Some of the wines are fermented in steel tanks and glass balloons, while other wines ferment in oak barrels. It provides very different types of wine that can either be utilized separately for different bottles - or in blends, depending on what is harvested by quantities and maturity degrees in each season.
We are still experimenting and trying every year to achieve even better wines than last year. Therefore, the different vintages are usually clearly different. However, we are gradually finding some 'signature wines' that we will try to repeat year by year.

Our vineyard is - because of its excellent location on Funen, close to the Great Belt Coast (Denmark's Fruit Garden), and due to very careful pruning and care of the foliage walls to achieve maximum sun without shade - able to deliver very nice and mature grapes almost every year. This means that we do not need to manipulate the wine in the winery with extra sugar addition or reduction of acid. It results in naturally balanced and tasty wines.

Of course, all the grapes for our wines are organic! During the winemaking, only a carefully measured amount of sulfite is added to protect the wine from oxidation.

Reduced plastic consumption

In recent bottles, we have strived to avoid unnecessary decorative plastic. Hoods and foil that do not affect the wine's storage has been removed.

A faded rosé

From the start we decided not to make red wine as it is difficult to make some really tasty red wine with the blue grapes that have the opportunity to mature in the Danish climate. Therefore, our blue grapes are mainly used for rosé wine. But since we also like a good red wine once in a while, we often make our rosé wines with a little longer maceration on the skin before pressing, and often the wines are fermented on oak dish. This results in a very elegant and complex rosé wine, which can easily be enjoyed for meat dishes, where one would otherwise have used a light red wine such as. Pinot Noir.

In particularly beautiful vintages, however, we also make a smaller batch of red wine. Simply to experiment with how close you can get to make an acceptable red wine. This red wine is also used as a starting point to make wine wine of port wine type. In the future, hopefully we will develop some new grape varieties that can raise the level of Danish red wine.

In 2021 we took the leap from hobby to business and received the food authorities' approval of our new winery. Therefore, only the wines from 2021 onwards are for sale. The older vintages are only for their own use and possibly. wine tastings.

Unfortunately, we have to disappoint many of our customers, as the demand of especially our new table wines has exceeded what we can deliver. It is craftsmanship in smaller parties. Therefore, several of our wines are sold out as early as August/September. There are still various sparkling wines available and more bottles are on the way.

2024 LOT #1:"Solaris Reserve"
Full and complex, spicy and aromatic white wine with classic fadaromas.
The wine is both fermented and matured on dish.
Alcohol: 13.2 vol.

Silver medal at the Piwi Wine Award International Spring 2024.

2023 LOT #9:“Lundeborg Morgenrøde”
Sparkling rosé wine at Bolero and Triumph d'Alsace.
The wine is bottled and stored 12 months on the yeast.
10.4 % vol. Alcohol and the wine is semi -dry.
Aroma of summer red berries. A glass of "morning red" is like the introduction on a lovely summer day.
A refreshing experience you would like to enjoy in good company.

2023 LOT #8:"Funen Spring"
A beautiful and festive sparkling white wine on blend of Solaris, Souvignier Pig, Hibernal, and Muscaris.
The wine is bottled and stored at least 12 months on the yeast. 11.7% vol. Alcohol.
It is exactly the same basic wine as the "night is our own".
Here the yeast is just shot out to make a clear sparkling wine, but still without the addition of dosage, so the wine is Naturally dry. (0 g/l)

Silver medal at the Piwi Wine Award International Spring 2024.

The wine has a delicious ease and a seductive scent of apple flowers and citrus.
Perfect for summer days and bright nights.

The title refers to the Funen composer Carl Nielsen's choir work "Funen Spring".
In the final penalty, the Funen girls sing that "the night is our own".
Hereby the two bottlings are related to both title and content. But very different in the expression.

2023 LOT #7: “The White Ladeport”
A sweet, full -bodied and elegant white liqueur, but with a Nordic ease and fruity floral and spicy character.
It is made on the Solaris grape. Fermented a few days of ham contact, after which alcohol has been added and the wine is stored for a year on a small dish (French oak).

The wine is suitable for desserts or for being enjoyed alone.

2023 LOT #6: “The Red Ladeport”
A sweet and full red liqueur wine, but with a Nordic ease and fruity character.
It is made on the Triomp d 'Alsace grape. Fermented a few days of ham contact and then alcohol has been added. It is stored for a year on a small converted port wine dish.

Gold medal at Piwi Wine Award International Spring 2024.

The wine is suitable for desserts or for being enjoyed alone.

2023 Solaris Natur

2023 Lot #2:"Solaris Nature"
Late harvested, very mature Solaris grapes - spontaneous fermented on glass balloon.
A large, full -bodied and very complex wine that approaches liqueur wine, but with a dry sweetness of good balance.
The alcohol from the natural fermentation is well integrated. Alcohol: 16.0 vol.
The wine is tapped on a half bottle (37.5 cl).

2023 Lot #1:"The night is our own"
The Funen girls say that "the night is our own".
This is our own version of a so-called “PET-NAT”.
It is a naturally sparkling wine.
The wine is fermented dry in the bottle - and fuzzy because the yeast is still in the bottle.
The wine is refreshing with a seductive scent of apple flowers and citrus.
Perfect for summer days and bright nights.
Not added sulfite as the wine is protected by the yeast in the bottle.

2023 Lot #5:"Orange"
New exciting orange wine. An orange wine is a white wine made like a red wine. Ie that the must ferment 2 weeks with the shells before pressing. This draws tannins and phenols from the shells. It gives the white wine the same character as a red wine. The wine has stored 9 months on oak dish.

The wine is fresh with a scent of orange peel, honey and earl gray.
Orange wine is a flavor universe, you have to get used to in the same way as coffee and olives. "An Aquired Taste". But once you get used to it, a new world of flavors opens up.

2023 Solaris

2023 Lot #4:"Solaris"
Full white wine of well -ripe grapes which gives a complex and long taste.
A clean, vinous and fresh wine dominated by the grape aromas.
Produced in steel tank. Alcohol: 13.8 vol.

Sparkling rose wine at Bolero. The wine is bottled and stored at least 9 months on the yeast. 9.5 % vol. Alcohol and the wine is dry. Aroma of summer red berries.

2022 Lot #7-3:"The Town Hall bell"
A beautiful and festive sparkling white wine on blend of Solaris, Souvignier Pig, Hibernal, Johanniter and Vilaris.
The wine is bottled and stored at least 21 months on the yeast. 11.7% vol. Alcohol. The wine is semi -dry. Aroma like the king, but it is more rounded and sweet.
With a little more sweetness, it fits better to cakes and chips when the clock beats 24.Happy New Year!

2022 Lot #7-2:"Lundeborg sea foam"
A beautiful and festive sparkling white wine stored 15 months on the yeast after the bottle fermentation.
The wine is semi -dry. Aroma like Lundeborg Waves, but it is more rounded and sweet. A good glass before or after the food, or maybe for a bite of cheese?
It is the same wine as the "town hall bell", but has been given longer storage on the yeast before bottling.

2022 Lot #7:"The Town Hall bell"
A beautiful and festive sparkling white wine on blend of Solaris, Souvignier Pig, Hibernal, Johanniter and Vilaris. The wine is bottled and stored at least 9 months on the yeast. 11.7% vol. Alcohol. The wine is semi -dry. Aroma similar to the queen, but it is more rounded and sweet.
With a little more sweetness, it fits better to the wreath cake when the clock beats 24.Happy New Year!OUT OF STOCK

The wine is dry. It is a fresh fruity sparkling wine with good acid. A good glass for this summer's brunch, starter or just when the apartment offers.
It is the same wine as 2022#6 "The Queen", but has received longer storage on the yeast before bottling.

2022 Lot #1: “Cuvée Cottage”
The new bottling of a wine corresponding to 2021-2.
A fresh and flower -scented white wine that has not been on oak dish.
The wine is mixed with 50% Solaris and 50% Muscaris.

2021 LOT #8:"The Loadport"
A sweet and full -bodied helmet wine, but with a Nordic ease and fruity character. It is stored for a year on a small converted port wine dish. The wine is suitable for desserts or for being enjoyed alone. The wine is tapped on a half bottle (37.5 cl) with screw lid to better fit a smaller company. - - OUT OF STOCK

2021 LOT #1:"Nordic Nouveau Red"
A sparkling red wine made v. Hj. a. Carbonic acid maceration (like Beaujolais nouveau) followed by a quick second fermentation (Method traditional) so that the wine could be ready for New Year 2021. PGA CORONA it was canceled and it is now stored for a year and matured nicely. The wine is semi -dry and works fine for food like a red wine with a twist. - - OUT OF STOCK

Sales of the wines

Most of the wines can be purchased at the restaurant “The Yellow Cottage”, Klampenborg (link),
as well as in the city's farm shop, Svendborg (link).
In addition, all available wines can be purchased on our shelf at the grocery store in Lundeborg ”(link)
Or in connection with the purchase of organic lamb on the farm.
